Toyota Corolla 2020 SE Black
Toyota is updating its lineup at an impressive pace, releasing new versions of the Camry, Avalon, RAV4 and Corolla Hatch both last year and this year, with another major and major update planned for next year. The new Corolla sedan is now ready for pre-production tests. More power, a new platform and for the first time in a thousand years, more or less interesting style, which was difficult to expect from Corolla. In short, here it is. New Toyota Corolla in a new sedan body in 2020 ...
It is difficult to say how much this is a restyling, since there are a lot of changes. This applies to the styling of the body, the new Toyota Corolla 2020 platform, other engines and the interior.
The 12th-generation Corolla has the same 2,700mm wheelbase as the previous generation, but that doesn't mean the new model is just a styling revision. The 2020 Toyota Corolla is now based on a completely different platform. This is the same TNGA global trolley we already know that has come to the disposal of all the latest models of the company, starting with the new Camry.
While the wheel Toyota Corolla 2020 SE Black spacing has not changed, the front overhang is 33mm shorter and the rear 12mm shorter. The automaker says the car "retains excellent headroom" and "legroom is just as good as in the pre-styled version," although the previous car was not very good for the class in this regard. And the new Corolla Hatchback is significantly inferior in legroom even compared to the iM generation it replaces. Therefore, we will not argue the opposite. When a live car is available, let's sit and try it on.
New body, new design ... Well, let's call it fun. Especially in the front and aft. The main silhouette bears a strong resemblance to its predecessor, albeit with the addition of some more dynamic touches and elements. The front has narrow headlights, squeezed from the bottom by a large hexagonal grille, but this time the body kit design gives the body a new sound, rather than the insect-like design of the front of the old car. The main grille has been heavily narrowed, and the body kit has been given more logical spaces for extra light, refining it and replacing the gaping mouth of the old model with the face of an evil robot. At least in the company photos it is well read.
The taillights will now have a no-alternative LED architecture in all trim levels, but like the front, the taillights themselves will change depending on the level of equipment in the cabin. The unexpected gray exterior paint will be new to the 2020 model. This special color, Toyota says, helps showcase the new body panels in all their glory. 18-inch wheels are also available in the base for the first time ever.
The interior is completely new, although at first glance you might think that the steering wheel is carried over from the previous model. The front fascia looks the same as on the Corolla hatchback and makes the cabin much more attractive than the older version. A more visually warm interior, with two-tone inserts in the panels, depending on the level of performance and more expensive materials. Toyota says it has also minimized the gap between the buttons and removed unnecessary lettering to make it more attractive. Available two-tone designs will include blue-black, light gray and macadamia walnut.
Interior noise levels have been reduced by several points thanks to the use of new sound-absorbing panels, Toyota said, and vibration levels from the drivetrain and suspension have also been significantly reduced. A 4.2-inch color instrument cluster information display will be standard on all vehicles, as will the large 8.0-inch infotainment screen. The large tidy display allows the driver to choose between a digital or analogue speedometer.
A new 8.0-inch screen with Toyota's new Entune 3.0 infotainment system will be standard on all but base trim levels. It gets a 7.0-inch multimedia touchscreen. The large screen comes with Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa and Toyota's suite of apps including Scout GPS Link.
The XSE and XLE trims add HD radio, SiriusXM and Entune services. Or the optional JBL audio system with navigation and 800 watt amplifier. Climate control is controlled by old buttons and switches located under the multimedia screen.
The Corolla will get a pair of engines as well as a pair of drivetrain options. The entry-level trims, that is, L, LE and XLE, use the 1.8 L engine, which was also available last year. Toyota says the engine gets more horsepower than its predecessor, with 132 horsepower.
